Community Guidelines

Version 1.0

Tujuane exists because dating apps got tiring: fake profiles, borrowed photos, people who are not who they said they were. Verification handles part of that. The rest is how people behave, which is what this page is about.

These guidelines are part of our Terms of Service. Breaking them can cost you features, or your account.

Be the person in your photos

Your photos must be of you, and recent enough to recognise you by. Do not post someone else's pictures, pictures of a celebrity, or pictures you found online.

Do not misrepresent your age, and never present yourself as under 18.

One person, one account.

Do not ask people for money

No requests for money, gift cards, top-ups, airtime, crypto or "help with a flight". No investment tips, no trading groups, no "let me show you how I earn".

This is the single most common way people get hurt on dating apps, and we treat it seriously. Tujuane will never ask you for money, and no genuine match will either. If someone does, report them. You do not owe them a polite exit.

Treat people like people

No harassment, threats, intimidation, or abuse. No hate directed at anyone for their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, gender, gender identity or sexual orientation.

No unsolicited sexual content. Not in a first message, not in a photo, not ever without a clear signal that it is welcome.

"No" is a complete answer, and someone unmatching you is an answer too. Repeatedly creating new ways to contact someone who has stepped away is harassment.

Do not share what is not yours to share

Do not post anyone else's private information: their phone number, address, workplace, or anything else that could identify or locate them.

Do not screenshot conversations and share them elsewhere to shame or expose someone.

Nothing involving minors

Sexual content involving anyone under 18 is removed immediately, the account is banned permanently, and it is reported to the authorities. There is no warning and no appeal for this one.

If you believe an account belongs to someone under 18, report it as Underage.

Tujuane is not a marketplace

No advertising, no promotion of your business, no recruiting, no driving people to another platform or a paid channel, and no bots.

Meeting in person

If you decide to meet someone:

  • Video call first. It is built into the app and it is the fastest way to confirm the person you have been talking to is the person who turns up.
  • Meet somewhere public the first time, and get yourself there and back.
  • Tell a friend where you are going and when you expect to be home.
  • Trust your instincts. Leaving early needs no justification.

A verified badge means we have confirmed a real, consistent face behind the profile. It is not a background check and it is not a judgement about whether someone is safe. Take the care you would take with any stranger.

Reporting and blocking

You can report anyone, from their profile or from your chat. The reasons you can choose are fake profile, scam, harassment, inappropriate content, underage, and something else if none of those fit. Use the last one freely and tell us what happened in your own words; a reason that does not fit a list is still worth reporting.

Some problems are caught without anyone reporting them. Photos are checked against known stolen and scam images, and against the verified selfie behind the profile, so a stolen photo or a face that does not match can be flagged automatically. You are not the only line of defence, and you do not need to work out which category something belongs to before speaking up.

Reports go to a real person for review. Reporting is confidential, and the person you report is not told who reported them.

Blocking is immediate and does not need a reason. It takes the person out of your deck and your likes, closes any match between you, and hides your chat history.

If you are ever in danger, contact your local emergency services first. We can close an account; we cannot come to you.

What happens when these are broken

Depending on what happened and whether it has happened before, we may remove the content, restrict a feature, suspend the account, or ban it permanently. Impersonation, scams and anything sexual involving a minor go straight to a permanent ban.

We would rather explain than punish, and most people never see any of this. But an app that promises people are real has to act like it means it.
